Ant Hill Marketing is led by an experienced management team that includes the original founders of the company, Grant Kimball and Kim Brater. The group works closely together to facilitate brand development, set marketing strategy, and manage the execution of communications programs for clients.

Grant Kimball
Partner + Certified Brand Strategist

Grant is a certified brand strategist and partner at the firm. He manages the business-to-business marketing practice specializing in healthcare, software, and audio-visual technology industries. Over the years, he has worked with some of Oregon’s most successful technology companies. Prior to founding Ant Hill Marketing, Grant was a marketing communications and public relations manager for Sequent Computer Systems. He has a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Oregon.

Kim Brater
Partner + Certified Brand Strategist

Kim is a certified brand strategist and partner at the firm. She leads the consumer marketing practice. Before co-founding Ant Hill Market­ing, Kim worked for several area agencies in strategy and account planning roles and also has held marketing management roles on the client-side in telephony software and education. Kim specializes in healthcare, financial services, energy, and sustainable industries. She holds a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Massachusetts/ Amherst and an M.A. in Communications from the University of Oregon.

Kristin Whitney
Public Relations account director

Kristin recently joined our team, capitalizing on her 11 years agency experience in high tech PR serving global technology clients Microsoft and SAP, to lead strategic communications programs for Ant Hill clients. Kristin led competitive communications campaigns for Microsoft focused on how proprietary software companies compete in the marketplace against open source and Linux. Kristin is a proud graduate of Marylhurst University with a B.A. in Communications and has donated her expertise to lead fund raising and community wellness awareness campaigns for an HIV/AIDS and breast cancer non-profit based in Portland.

Jeff Boyce
Art Director

Jeff helps bring our brand and marketing strategies to life visually. He has a breadth of creative experience and a background directing innovative designs from concept to completion as well as translating marketing objectives into creative execution. Prior to Ant Hill, Jeff managed art direction and design at several Portland agencies where he was responsible creatively for a number of local and global client accounts. Jeff holds a degree in Applied Arts from the Art Institute of Seattle as well as design courses at Portland State University.
