    The tragedy of one young girl’s death sparked the quest to make healthcare accessible and available to everyone regardless of the ability to pay or to speak English. Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center is a non-profit organization at the forefront of integrated community healthcare. Ant Hill Marketing learned of the great services provided by Virginia Garcia by chance. Inspired by their mission, Ant Hill Marketing has made a multi-year pro-bono commitment to deliver brand and marketing services that helps Virginia Garcia expand the services they provide to people with barriers to healthcare access.

    Working with the core leadership team, our certified brand strategists facilitated the discovery of Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center’s distinction and helped articulate the their brand position. We then helped  the CEO map out the various operational components the organization needed in place to deliver on the brand and put plans in place to help launch the brand internally to the organization’s employees and physicians who work at different geographic locations. Finally, we outlined a messaging architecture to help the organization’s marketing and foundation team express the brand in their daily programs.

    Creative Strategy

    Ant Hill Marketing created a visual representation of Virginia Garcia’s newly developed brand position through colors and images that would resonate with the client’s core patient audiences. We developed a series of mood boards to evoke an emotional feel of the brand to help the client select establish a creative direction that would apply to all creative deliverables.

    Brand Identity

    The logo we developed embraces the brand position, reflects the diverse cultural background of the organization, and embodies a sense of hope that Virginia Garcia represents. It was launched internally at an all-staff celebration where t-shirts and cards were distributed after an emotional video tribute to the story behind the organization and the new logo. Finally, we developed business materials and a comprehensive guide book to help the organization consistently use its brand identity everywhere.

    fundraising Tools

    To help distribute Virginia Garcia’s new brand message, Ant Hill Marketing created new brand marketing tools for use in both the clinics and by the organization’s foundation to aid in raising much needed dollars to support Virginia Garcia’s mission. The brochure and other fundraising materials helped evoke the brand visually and incorporated the appropriate messaging. We also created email and newsletter templates as well as associated marketing materials for various fundraising events.

    Community relations

    To support Virginia Garcia’s desire to support education, Ant Hill Marketing worked to bring the Art Institute of Portland and Virginia Garcia together to participate in the Art Institute’s annual Web Raising event. Each year, AI schools around the country select local non-profit organizations, coordinate a team of volunteer students, and build a website in one day. Virginia Garcia was able to see a website come to completion within 24 hours, Ant Hill Marketing helped young talent learn more about working in an agency with real clients, and AI students were able to work as a team to build a new website from scratch.
